when being in Nepal in 2011 I experimented with Lokta Paper. This paper is widely used in Nepal and is also one of the export products of Nepal. It is a paper based on the bark of a bush and making this paper is an age old tradition in Nepal. I tried to use the paper in new or different ways and cooperated with some manufacturers, combining their knowledge about papermaking and my ideas of using different ways of making products and my design ideas. the outcome was a variety of lampshades
