when being in Nepal in 2011 I experimented with lokta paper. This paper is widely used in Nepal and is also one of the export products of Nepal. It is a paper based on the bark of a bush and making tis paper is an age old tradition in Nepal. I tried to use the paper in new or different ways and co-operated with some manufacturers combining their knowledge of the technique and my knowledge of techniques from other precesses and my design ideas.
